Skye —gloomy and moody and stormy — it doesnt matter. We hardly got out of the car but the land is so pretty we just rolled around in it misty and muddy and grateful to be alive.

Some people come to Skye to hike. Some people come to Skye to sail. We came to Skye for the musical theater opportunities OBVIOUSLY.

My heart still belongs to the magic DUIRWAIGH house, but I simply must must share with you the 16th century cockerel cottage, complete with 20 foot cock on the front lawn which has been kept continually for over 100 years. I ADORE this cottage. Alas it’s way to small for us, but perhaps perfect for someone you know.

Rained most of the day today. Drove through villages of mist and forests of spirit. Had a flat tire. Lots of wind. Found a surprise chocolatier secreted on a cliff side that I wouldnt be surprised to find out wasn’t in this dimension at all. Last 45 minutes of daylight here comes the drama skies, a patch of blue and a rainbow close enough to catch. Missed you today. I will bring you back when we can meet up again.

Took my love and took it down…took our tender hearts to Brough of Birsay. Can only reach this island at low tide. A lighthouse and sheep were our only companions. All in all, a good place to recover and soothe the aching soul.
